Tambuwal, PDP Govs, call for the withdrawal of Onochie’s nomination
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to withdraw the nomination of Lauretta Onochie as a Federal Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commissioner.
Tambuwal made the call when he swore in the Chairman and members of the Sokoto State Independent Electoral Commission at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Sokoto.
Tambuwal, who is also the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Governors Forum stated that appointing someone who is very clearly a partisan individual into an electoral body is not a good sign.
The Governor said the best legacy President Muhammadu Buhari can leave for Nigeria is an improvement on the electoral process.
