HARVEST: Binji Farmers Begs Police for Protection

BySirajo Garba Runjin SamboSecurity agencies in the state have been urged to assist farmers in Binji local Government area to harvest their farm produce. The call was made by Malam Sani Bala a resident of Birnin Wari village in Binji local Government area of the state. He said armed Bandits had attack some villages to include BirninWari, Fako, Kura, Gajare among others. He said Birnin Wari village was attacked on Saturday 17 october, 2020 while, two women were abducted in Gajare. According to him, farmers were supposed to be harvesting their farm produce but the armed bandits attack did not allow for that. Sani Bala Said the armed bandit also killed one person and abducted a man identified as Abdullahi Dan Atiku BirninWari who was later released after a ransom was paid by his family. When asked if the state government was aware of the current situation at hand, he said to their understanding the government is aware because the sole administrator of the local government had visited the villages and sympathized with them. Bala therefore urged the state governor and security agencies to mobilize security personnel to their villages for them to have access to their farm lands again.
